Overview
Accelera University is a speculative design concept built around a simple, unsettling trade: time for tuition. Prospective students choose from a catalog of majors, each priced like a real degree, but with a second currency on the table. A Doctor of Medicine might run $800,000, donate five years of your life expectancy and the cost drops to $490,000. The pitch is efficiency: skip the debt, accelerate straight into the workforce.
Concept
The project started as an Hypercinema-style research prompt on the future of education and technology: What happens to school when a pill can download the knowledge you need, when your body is the only unpolluted food source left, when a lottery decides your future. Accelera University distilled that world into a single institution: a place where potential is "achieved today," and where the true cost of a degree is measured in years, not just dollars.
Narrative
The short film follows a prospective student checking his phone and bank account, getting a text from his dad about when he's finally going to start working. He turns on the TV and catches an Accelera University advertisement mid-pitch — an on-screen prompt urges him to turn up the volume to hear more. The camera pushes in through the screen, past the ad, and lands inside the university itself, closing the gap between marketing and consequence.
